a lovely day at the airport

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Saturday was such a pretty day, Travis and i decided to head over to the local airport, park the car near the tarmac and watch the small engine planes take off.  but not before we stopped by the Texas Pie Company for some mini pies.  Trav got chocolate heath and i got strawberry rhubarb, they were delicious.

march madness

the month of March always seems to refresh me.  by the time March first rolls around, i’ve turned a year older, made it {mostly} through the Texas winter and have almost survived half of the current semester.
when i sit down and think about this March in particular, i have a lot of things to look forward to.  and in the spirit of trying to spread positivity through out my life, i made a little list (because really, lists are my thing).
march anticipations
prime holga experimentation weather
spring break
road trips during said spring break
time to spend with my sister
time to read
time to explore Austin
south by southwest {check out what we’re doing, very cool stuff}
getting a little color on my cheeks
spring rain
spring flowers
training harper for the weenie dog races
March is going to be great, i can just feel it

texas snow

we had a real snow day today.
harper really liked it at first,
but after a while he decided that he
prefers to watch the snow as opposed to being in it.

on a weekend full of exploring, hoodies and sour gummy bears

Monday, February 22nd, 2010
this past weekend Travis and I met up with my dad and sister at our old friend Johnny’s house, way up in the hills in Kerrville.
we hiked all day, and roasted s’mores over a fire at night.

it was also the last time I’ll see Lauren and my dad until after my birthday, so they brought up a few gifts.  I’m so excited to try out the holga…I’ve already taken a few pictures and can’t wait to see how they turned out.
Johnny does amazing things with the fallen trees he finds on his property. he gave me this beautiful bowl for my birthday.
it was an amazing weekend, and it was really needed, all around.  we pretty much stayed in pjs and hoodies all day, and just explored Johnny’s 52 acre ranch.  oh, and ate way too many sour gummy bears.
i hope everyone has a wonderful monday/beginning of the week!
