Well, we’ve made it one whole month. Married life doesn’t feel too different from engaged life. I guess when you’ve been together for 6+ years, and lived together for over a year, being legally married doesn’t bring too many changes. Although, I still do get giddy when I refer to Travis as my husband (or when I call him my boyfriend on accident, and think to myself  ”well wait, that’s not right…”).

::a few notes on our first month of our marriage::
– I’m still getting used to referring to myself as Carly Hohl (“Hohl” — it’s like ‘Hall’ but not — pretty much what I say to people when telling them my new last name for the first time).
– I still catch myself staring at my rings. As someone who was never big on jewelry, it sure it nice having sparkly things on your finger. :)
– Getting mail addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Hohl is pretty much the best.
– Travis knows he’s stuck with me forever, and has started overlooking my craziness for the sake of his own sanity (and I attempt sometimes to not be a crazy).
– We’ve been brainstorming about our next steps, now that life isn’t consumed by wedding planning. No idea what we’re going to do yet, but I do know it will be awesome.

My Grandma June passed away on Tuesday. She was my last living grandparent. She’d had dementia for almost a decade, and had been ‘gone’ for quite some time, but I still definitely feel the loss. She had six children {five boys, one girl — my mother}, and worked full time at night while her children were asleep. She was a strong, beautiful woman, and I’m honored to be her granddaughter.

{maybe now I will actually post on a regular basis…}

I know I’m super late in posting these, but here are a few Instagrams from the wedding!

We’re getting next married next Saturday! Life has been absolutely crazy. But, I wanted to put a few goals in writing for the new year.

1. Keep up with the fitness and health goals I made in late 2011. More running (joined a formal running group), more races (Capitol 10K in March), more raw foods and more yoga.
2. Keep up with this poor, neglected blog. After the wedding, I’m back, I promise!
3. More cooking, more baking. No more being scared of the kitchen.
4. Taking Harper on more walks. Wiener dog is looking a little chunky…

We’re heading to Winter Park, Colorado for our honeymoon next Sunday! If I don’t break both of my arms, I will post tons of snowy pictures when I return. :)
