it’s almost here

summer, that is.
despite the numerous projects and papers 
i have to complete between now and then,
i can’t wait for the freedom summer will bring.
{granted i’ll be working, but no school, huzzah!}

harper the racing ween

harper competed in the Buda Wiener Races this weekend, and he kicked butt!
he won second place in his first round, and moved on to the finals.
at his final race, he started strong, but then got distracted and ran off to play with the other dogs,
but he sure was fast doing it!
it was lots of fun and it was a beautiful day to be outside with the pup and friends

a weekend full of ween races and pretty weather

this weekend are the weenie races, yay!
it’s a beautiful saturday here in austin and we can’t wait to go exploring
{except i have work i have to get done at some point.}
everyone mentally cheer on harper sunday morning, 
he’s going to kick some serious ween booty.

oy vey. surviving the next few weeks is going to be a challenge.
between work, school, papers and projects i’m not sure when i’ll find time to actually sleep
but that’s what coffee and tea are for, right?
but once this is all over, i’m going to invest in some serious relaxation and fun time. 
i’m not sure how yet, but i will!

dear coffee, we’re going to be seeing much more of each other in the coming weeks.
dear research paper looming over, i will conquer you.
dear major life decisions, i wish all of these things were easier.
dear harper, i know you love me, but i can do without the 7 a.m. weekend facials.
dear rain, i kind of like you, you can stay around if you want.
