oh, hello dear

Nik’s first birthday was today. He really enjoys seasaws and red velvet cake, if you can’t tell.

My mom is currently in the critical care unit at Tomball Regional. Long story short, she developed a serious blood and kidney infection, which caused her temperature to skyrocket to 104 and her blood pressure to plummet to 60/33. She is getting better, but still has a long way to go. It has definitely shown us all we have to be thankful for.

This weekend was pretty amazing, aside from the research paper looming over my head (which is now complete) and feeling a little under the weather.  On Saturday, Travis, Harper and I headed to Lake McQueeney for Travis’ family Thanksgiving dinner.  It was perfect weather, and it was so nice to see his family and the babies.

On Sunday, some friends and I went to Stubbs to see AFI.  AFI has been my all time favorite band since I was 15 probably.  I’ve tried numerous times to see them, but they always canceled the shows in Houston.  The concert was incredible, and almost emotional since I had waited so long to see them.

Oh yeah, sorry for the not so stellar concert pics…there were some ridiculously tall people there and I couldn’t get around them.

I apologize for the lack of actual content filled posts. On top of working on some research, I was involved in a little fender bender and the woman at fault is giving me some problems.
