oh, hello dear

1. my birthday is tomorrow. woot. 22 isn’t nearly as exciting as 21.
2. i have a lot of people coming in to town tomorrow and i don’t have the space for them to stay at my apartment
3. i need to go grocery shopping, but i want to wait until everyone leaves so they don’t eat all my food. does that make me a bad person?
4. i’m moving in may. moving makes me nervous.
5. i have a research project due in a month and i have started no such research
6. i don’t have any plans for spring break and that makes me a little sad/ feel lame
7. i’m getting the hang of balancing grad school and working
8. i desperately want a dog. i think it would complete my life. but unfortunately for the next 3 months i will be living in a 500 sq. ft. apartment and that just isn’t fair for a dog
9. i owe a lot in student loans, it bums me out
10. it is super muggy here in San Marcos and i want to know WHY.

this is davey, my super awesome gay cat. he thinks he’s pretty hot stuff. he lives at home with my parents. they wouldn’t let me take him to San Marcos with me, they love him too much (pretty much they love him more than me). but look at him, he’s easily lovable. he has this weird fetish with plastic bags. if you leave one on the bed, floor, counter, he will find it, precede to climb in and lick the inside of the back until his little heart is content. he’s a weirdo.

travis and i went to hey cupcake today. it was cupcake-tastic! bawhaha
