What a great weekend! Started off with Travis and I celebrating our “monthiversary” with dinner at Carino’s then seeing the Dark Knight. We don’t go out on real dates very often, so every couple of months we use the excuse of a “monthiversary” to justify going out and spending money. It was great :)

Saturday Travis and I met up with my cousin Kate and her boyfriend David to go float the Comal. While the rivers in New Braunfels are longer and have more rapids, the way they’ve become so crowded and touristy make them almost not worth it. With trying to find a place to park, waiting to get a tube, annoying drunk people on the river, I’d just as soon walk to Sewell and float there.

Once we got back home and recharged for a few hours, Trav and I met up with a good friend from College Station and we out to dinner and had a few drinks. Aaron brought his hookah so we decided to go in search of a hookah shop in SM. If you haven’t been to Cedars on the square, go! I’ve been there to eat a few times, but they have a hookah lounge in the back, which isn’t crowded and loud like Stratosphere. The owner became our new best friend and gave us some inside tips about the Greek food/hookah business.

Later that night Amie and Chris came in and we spent the next 5 hours hookah-ing and listening to Travis and Chris play guitar. It was so much fun and a great way to relax from the previous week.

Sunday we (slowly) got up and made our way to Sewell. We floated and went and got some much needed Mexican food at Garcia’s. A few weeks ago I brought my sister’s PS2 back to San Marcos and went and bought a few used games. Chris and Travis spend 6 hours Sunday night playing Vice City and searching the Internet for cheat codes. Looking back on it, buying video games may not have been such a good idea, ha.

It was the best weekend I’ve had in a long time, especially because I got to see so many people I don’t get to see on a regular basis.

Nothing too exciting for this week…work and getting ready for the parents to visit next weekend
